Healthcare
We have a healthcare crisis in our country. A good example stems from the massive price differences of a “cash” customer and an “insurance” customer. The fact that medical facilities may charge a customer less for a service if paid upfront versus an exorbitant amount if a customer uses insurance illustrates a massive …
What steps should Congress take to ensure a quality education for students?
Congress should help ensure every student has access to a quality education by supporting strong public schools, affordable higher education, career and technical training, and workforce development. Federal policy should empower states and local communities while investing in teachers, modern infrastructure, and programs that prepare students for the careers of tomorrow. Every student deserves the opportunity to succeed regardless of their ZIP code, and education should equip them with the critical thinking and practical skills needed to thrive in an increasingly complex world.
What, if any, should be the role of Congress in the regulation of data centers?
Congress should establish clear national standards that ensure data centers operate responsibly while protecting the communities that host them. Federal policy should require transparency regarding energy, water, infrastructure, and security impacts while ensuring companies bear an appropriate share of the costs associated with the demands they place on public resources. Data centers create valuable jobs and investment, but economic growth should not come at the expense of higher utility costs, strained infrastructure, or reduced quality of life for local communities.
Food
We create massive surpluses in food all while inflation has made buying groceries one the largest costs to everyday people. Of the nearly 400 billion pounds of food the United States produces each year, between 25-40% are wasted. (Per U.S. Gov and University of Michigan Sources). Communities, with the assistance of …
What do you think Congress should do about the affordability issues facing constituents?
Congress should focus on lowering the everyday cost of living by investing responsibly in infrastructure, workforce development, and policies that expand opportunity without shifting costs onto working families. As Tennessee continues attracting major federal and private investments, Washington must ensure those projects strengthen local communities rather than simply increase profits for the few while taxpayers absorb the costs. Economic growth should translate into affordable housing, reliable infrastructure, quality jobs, and healthcare that families can access. Prosperity should be measured by how well Americans are able to build secure, affordable lives.
Let’s Expect A Government That Serves Its People
Just because it’s familiar doesn’t mean we have to accept it. Together, we will find solutions that work for all Americans.
Accountability in Action
I will seek to pass an Accountability Act that will create a secure system where all public servants have clear access to the will of their people (through an app or a secure website). This will allow people to engage with their politicians both locally and nationally (mainly through polling the constituents on key …
If elected, how do you plan to address those challenges?
I will advocate for policies that help families build a life they can afford while ensuring economic growth benefits our communities. I will represent every Tennessean equally, regardless of race, gender, income, or political affiliation, by remaining accessible, transparent, and accountable. Finally, I will communicate honestly, rely on evidence, acknowledge uncertainty when it exists, and encourage critical thinking so citizens can make informed decisions for themselves.
Safety
The job of the government is to protect its people. The protection of its people from foreign or domestic sources of violence, and the safety of its infrastructure for public use are clearly part of this umbrella. However, my three points on food, shelter, and healthcare also fall under our basic needs as humans. How …
What do you think are the 3 biggest challenges facing constituents?
1. A life that Tennesseans can afford. 2. A government where every voice has equal value. 3. An informed electorate built on facts rather than misinformation.
