Health care
Ossoff

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I’ve long believed every citizen should be guaranteed great health care, no matter their wealth. In the Senate, I fought the Republican effort to lapse ACA benefits, and cast decisive votes to cap the cost of insulin at $35 per month and cap prescription costs for seniors. I’m working to prevent insurance companies from denying claims for needed care and to strengthen Medicaid. I’ve delivered funds for the CareConnect clinic in Fort Valley and the Albany Area Primary Health Care clinic, a new health clinic in Warwick, a new emergency department at SGMC Health Berrien, new MRIs at Wellstar MCG …

Foreign Policy

Reforming a Broken System

Jon is one of few United States Senators whose campaigns refuse to accept campaign contributions from corporate PACs or federal lobbyists. Jon has introduced legislation to ban corporate PACs altogether and is leading the charge to ban stock trading by Members of Congress, helping pass a Congressional stock trading ban through a major Senate Committee for the first time.

Bipartisanship / Compromise

Compromise is not surrendering your values. Too often in Washington, Democrats think compromise means Republicans giving in. I've shown you can work across the aisle while standing firm on conservative principles.

The Trump administration’s tariff chaos, war, and attacks on affordable health care are fueling the worsening cost-of-living crisis. Thanks to the Trump administration’s policies, health care costs hit their new all-time-high this year. The president’s attacks on the Affordable Care Act have caused health premiums to skyrocket and hundreds of thousands of Georgians to lose their health insurance this year alone. The president’s gutting of Medicaid in order to fund tax cuts for the rich is putting Georgia hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes under even greater strain. One Georgia hospital has …
