What are your priorities on Congressional funding and oversight of immigration enforcement, including ICE and Customs and Border Protection facilities?
Every nation has secure borders as a top priority. Why should the US be different?
Lower Healthcare Costs
"In Washington, I will lower healthcare costs for Virginians. That starts with holding insurance companies accountable and funding for rural hospitals, funding that Mark Warner refused to support."
What changes would you propose, if any, on funding priorities of federal programs impacting the lives of families including healthcare and affordability?
Government doesn't make things more affordable for the most part. Regulation can be 25% to 35% of the cost of everything from housing, roads and health care.
Energy
"Nuclear power is clean, cheap, reliable and safe. Today's nuclear technology is, as they say, not your father's technology. I support bringing new nuclear power on-line to slash the ever-increasing energy costs for American households."
Fiscal Responsibility
"The national debt has more than tripled since Mark Warner took office. Back then he said he would lead the way to balancing the budget, but he's joined the Democratic leadership in Washington to enact a tax-and-spend agenda. In the Senate, I will focus on balancing the budget to protect future generations from …
Affordability
"Mark Warner voted for higher taxes that would cost the average Virginia family more than $3,600 a year. In the Senate, I will lower the tax on selling your home, lower the tax burden on Virginia families, and help bring down the cost of living."
Defending Our Military
"As a four-time combat veteran with 41 years in uniform, I understand the difficult issues facing veterans, their families and survivors. I will protect veterans' benefits, expand access to quality healthcare, and ensure veterans aren't stuck waiting on Washington for the care they earned."
Stop Corruption
"For too long, members of Congress have gotten rich while the people they represent fall further behind. As Senator, I will ban congressional stock trading, so politicians put their constituents first, not themselves."
What are your positions on the Federal and State roles regarding election management, security and integrity?
One of government's primary jobs is to ensure the honesty of elections and make sure the voter rolls are accurate and only include legal voters and deceased citizens are removed from the rolls to dissuade illegal voting.
What changes, if any, would you propose in federal campaign finance laws?
I think they have to look at the balance of campaign finance of candidates and the spending of outside groups. Restrictions on candidates have opened the floodgates for outside groups.
What other priorities do you have if elected?
Restore our national security strength, lower the cost of government, put us on a path to pay down the national debt.
